Venous Malformation is a Low Flow Vascular Malformation.
The complications of Venous Malformation are Hemorrhage and Thrombophlebitis.Treatment is Sclerothrapy or Surgical Excision.

Vascular Anomalies are classified as:-
Vascular Malformation and Vascular Tumors.
Vascular malformation can be further subdivided into Low flow or High flow vascular malformations.
Examples of Low flow Vascular malformations are:-
Capillary/Venous/Lymphatic/Mixed vascular malformations.
Examples of High flow Vascular malformations are:-
Arteriovenous Malformations and Arterio venous  Fistula

Difference between Arterio Venous Malformation and Arterio Venous Fistula.
Arterio Venous Malformation-Means there are multiple communications between the artery  and vein. Mostly congenital in origin.
Arterio venous Fistula- There is a single connection between the artery and the vein. Mostly traumatic in origin.
