Lipoma is a benign tumour arising from adipose tissue.

It is also called Universal Tumour as it can occur anywhere in the body where there is fat or adipose tissue.

    Liposarcoma is said to be of de novo origin. No malignant transformation in the lipoma, it is read.

    lipoma and fat deposition is practically nil in upper eyelid an scrotum as there is no fat cells.

    I've had appx 16 lipomas removed, all of them fairly small (between 2cm and 5cm). My first two experiences with lipoma removal were BAD,It was done with local anaesthetic, however it required rather large incisions, lots of stitches, and left me with two very nasty big scars.
