Surgical Draping
After painting the area selected for surgery with antiseptic solution, we isolate the area using sterile sheets or drapes from the rest of the area. This is called Draping.
The method of applying antiseptic solution for surgery is in such a way that, the incision site is painted first using a cotton swab and a sponge holding forceps.
Then apply the antiseptic solution in a circular manner to the periphery. Once the periphery is reached one should not come to the incision site with the same swab.
The same way of applying antiseptic solution is repeated thrice.
